Car Wash Fun in the Burbs

Posted on June 4th, 2011

Are any of you having pollen problems right now?  And I don’t just mean itching eyes, scratchy throat and sneezing….I’m talking yellow yuck all over your car.  Given this, I figured it was the perfect time to discuss car washing fun in the burbs.

Having three young children who eat and play in my car, coupled with the fact that as a real estate agent I am often taking clients in my car, means that I need a good car wash more times than not.  And now that the pollen is omnipresent, it’s even more important.

So without further ado, here are some of the car wash options for those who live in Weston, Wellesley and the surrounding towns:

ScrubaDub, 172 Worcester Road (Route 9), Natick, MA - nine times out of 10 this is where I go.  It’s conveniently located on Route 9 in Natick, it seems to have the most car wash services and features, and it’s usually pretty quick to get in and out.  I buy the booklets for $50 which gives me 5 car washes and the ability to pick two of three options each wash – wheels, wax or underwash.  If I have a little extra time, I get the inside of my car cleaned as well, and that is definitely a feel good for me.  Having a clean car inside and out is quite a nice thing, especially because it doesn’t last so long given the ever-changing weather and my ever-active kids.

Triton Washworld Car Care Center, 70 TV Place, Needham, MA – My friend, Rob, who has a passion for cars and washes his cars several times per week, swears by this car wash.

Quick & Clean Car Wash of Waltham, 209 Lexington Street, Waltham, MA – I have gone here a few times when I am in Waltham and in need of a wash.

Quality Car Wash, 78 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, MA – this is another one that I will visit if I find myself on Route 20 in Wayland or Sudbury.

On The Run, 453 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA – this car wash is associated with the Mobil Gas Station.  I have never actually used this one, but it seems to be more of an add-on to re-fueling.  It’s more nuts and bolts and less bells and whistles than the others.

What are your thoughts?  Do you have a favorite car wash location near where you live?  I can’t wait to hear….

We use scrub a dub too because it’s so easy but sometimes we just give the hose to the kids and let them have at it too. Good fun on a hot summer day. Have not been to the one behind Chanel 5 in ages but I remember it was a good one. Location Location Location :)
