The St. Joseph Statue and Selling Your Home

Posted on June 11th, 2011

Several years ago, I had a client who was selling her home, and she asked me if burying a St. Joseph statue in her yard would help sell it.  At the time, I had never heard of the practice of burying a St. Joseph statue, and so I did some research.  As most of you know, St. Joseph was the Father of Jesus Christ, the Husband of the Virgin Mary and a Patron Saint.  The theory is that if you bury a St. Joseph statue in your yard, and say a prayer each day for 9 consecutive days, it will help to sell your home.  I must say that this would not be the first thing I would do when selling my home.  Instead I would focus on the pricing and marketing of my home (and in that order).  But if all else fails, why not?  As I like to say – in this crazy business, anything can happen and everything is possible.

What are your thoughts?  Is this something that you might do in order to sell your home?  If it is, click here for the procedure for burying the St. Joseph statue and for the daily prayers, and click here to see the pricing of some of the kits (this is not a pricey endeavor).  And of course, if the burying of the statue results in success, please let me know.  Good luck, and I can’t wait to hear…..
