Pinnacle Report for Weston, MA Real Estate 4/2/2012 – 4/15/2012
Posted on April 17th, 2012
It’s school vacation week in our neck of the woods, and we have been lucky enough to venture to Wilmington, DE and Baltimore, MD to visit family. Today (April 17, 2012) we took a day trip to Washington, DC, and unbeknownst to us, this was the day that the Shuttle Discovery passed over the Washington Mall from Cape Canaveral on its way to its final destination to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum annex in Virginia. Thousands, including us, flocked to the Mall to watch, and we knew that history was in the making, especially when we heard the crowd say “Ahhh” in unison and start snapping cameras like crazy. We turned our heads and there it was – the Shuttle Discovery breathtakingly perched atop the Boeing 747. And though the photo might not capture the historic and incredible moment that it was to those of us who watched in person, I wanted to share it with you….
Now back to earth and my twice-monthly Pinnacle Report covering the Weston, MA real estate market…. We saw another two weeks of solid market activity in Weston – 10 single family homes came on the market, and seven sold.* Both our new and sold activity took place at a variety of price points, which is a healthy market indicator. Our inventory (99) has increased since my last report (94) but is less than where it was this time last year (109). We expect this kind of consistent activity to continue as we further progress into the Spring market.
